I've long been a frequent user of the "Command Prompt Here" context menu plugin. But over time, it seems people haven't kept up with it or many of the implementations simply don't work. So I'll be maintaining this page with the latest versions of "Command Prompt Here" for Visual Studio users:
- Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt Here (x86)
- Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt Here (x64)
- Visual Studio 2010 Command Prompt Here (x86)
- Visual Studio 2010 Command Prompt Here (x64)
Installation: Right-click -> Save As... Then double click to add to registry.
Background: Scott Hanselman wrote a blog post a while back about a registry hack which would add a right-click context menu option in Windows Explorer to open a command prompt with all the VS.NET environment variables set. This is merely an update to that work.
